The Perfect Rolls Royce Wedding Car

When I was growing up I always adored the amazing spectacle of a traditional wedding car. Many a memory included me playing in the street to be instantly breath taken at the sight of what I later found out was the amazingly luxurious Rolls Royce wedding car. I knew that inside would be a beautifully radiant lady in a delightful white flowing dress. I'd always run up to the church at the top of the street to catch a glimpse of this happy and pretty lady who would elegantly meet other over whelmingly happy and excitable people. I could only imagine that they too were so taken back at the image of perfection this whole scene had created.

It was not only me as a child who would hesitate to sneak a peek; it was in fact anyone in the street. The reactions of others around me were equally as pleasing as mine. At first sight of this picturesque vision they would instantly stop their chit chat in astoundment for this magnificently timeless and ultimately exquisite Rolls Royce wedding car. Now that my special day is soon to arrive it is my turn to see heads turning as I sit chauffeur driven , gleaming happily in anticipation as I am taken in true style to the wonderful church in which I will be met by my fantastic fiancé and confirm our true love forever.

As all little girls I always dreamt of what my special day would be like and I am now so delighted to have made all those dreams come true. Every finer detail I have planned to perfection. Of course my charming memories of the Rolls Royce carefully draped in silk rose ribbon, elegantly carrying the happy bride were remembered fondly. So for this reason I was introduced to the lovely team at Special Day Cars.

Having started my quest to find the most amazing Rolls Royce available for my wedding day I came across http://www.specialdaycars.com. This company can not be beaten in business etiquette or customer service. From my first enquiry through to my booking they were extremely helpful and pleasantly knowledgably and passionate for these splendid cars. Along with their friendly staff and their flourishing fleet of prestigious cars, I was comforted with their reliance to plan my special day to the perfect Rolls Royce status they are renowned for. Choosing the perfect car from the Rolls Royce dynasty proved tricky. With so many amazing models to choose from, each perfectly formed and stunning in every way. Should I have chosen the hallmark of the marque, the fabulous Rolls Royce Corniche, a luxurious vintage convertible? Or maybe a 1936 Rolls Royce 20/25HP Limousine, with all the magnificent period car qualities that a lavish vintage limousine has to offer? Perhaps I should have chosen the classic 1960 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. With its graceful curves and porcelain white with beige leather interior it would be wonderfully deluxe. All of these cars are by no mistake the optimum in quality and glamour. I however did not choose the models I have mentioned. When I think back to the images of my fondest memories I can appreciate the development within their making. The amazingly talented automotive designers I am extremely grateful to and their work is remarkably commendable. Thanks to them my fond memories can be reminisced, my dreams can be rekindled and my passion long-lived. Where I and many others celebrate the amazing work of the Rolls Royce dynasty, they themselves celebrated the 100 yrs of production with an amazing gift to us. This gift appeared in the illustrious Rolls Royce Phantom. This car is the empitomy of sophistication and glamour, making it a perfect wedding day car. This chauffeur driven Rolls Royce is such an amazingly beautiful creation that it will undoubtedly have heads turning in the street.

All of those scenic moments I witnessed as a child, would no longer be a childhood fantasy; it could now be real with a new modern version of the traditional wonderment I had previously viewed. The tremendously plush Phantom is the perfect wedding car for my grand entrance to my special day. I know in this dream car I too will stop children in the street. I am happy to create the ultimate picturesque scene to inspire my Rolls Royce wedding dream to any child of today. I could have only ever started my new exciting life journey with my amazing husband to be, in honor of the dreamy memories that the traditional Rolls Royce marvel had given me. by Kaley

Used Corvettes For Sale: How To Find The Right Corvette

Used corvettes for sale, when your looking to buy a used corvette you've got to think about a few things, it's just a bit different from any other used car, rather your looking for a project car, or a driver.

I will attempt to give you some information to help you in your endeavor to buy a used corvette, hopefully I can save you a little agony when it comes to the purchase of your classic corvette.

I am a huge proponent of corvettes, I love them from top to bottom, and inside out, the corvette is America's sports car, but it's also a muscle car, and no other car on the planet is both the corvette is a special car.

So let's get in to the hunt for your used corvette, the tips that I will give will help you locate just the car you want, a corvette that you can be proud of, a corvette that you can love.

Let's get in to the meat and potatoes of this article, I will cover very briefly a few tips to help you find the perfect corvette, just the one you want, I will start with the body, and work through the rest of it.

First of all you'll need to do a walk around, and get a general idea of the car your looking at, below I will give a numbered list of things to inspect on the car, these things will help save you time and money.

Body Inspection List:
1.Look closely at the alignment of the body panels, looking for gaps the look to wide, or to narrow, misaligned panels usually indicate that the car has been wrecked.
2.Look for cracks in the fiber glass, hair line cracks called stress cracks mean body repair.
3.Open the doors and watch for them to drop and you do it, this indicates that the hinges need to be replaced.
4.If the corvette has a removable hardtop, take it off of the car and see if it's digging in to the body of the car, this means body work, and new seals for the top.
5.Look for stress cracking around the door handles, and locks, it commonly happens there.
6.If the corvette your looking at has pop-up head lights, make sure that they pop-up, also look at the openings for stress cracking.

Now I'll give you a few ideas on the mechanical part of the car, this will of course require a test drive of the car, if the car doesn't run, you of course can't do some of the suggestions on this list.

Mechanical Inspection List:
1.Open the hood of the car, look for leaks around the valve covers, intake manifold, water pump, and carburetor, leaks here indicate that you need to replace gaskets.
2.While your under the hood look at the wiring to see if it's burned, or has had an ugly repair job, this will tell you that you need to replace the engine compartment wiring harness, a good reason to save money.
3.Look at the brake lines, the ones you can see, a brake fluid leak will remove the paint where it leaks, it should be easy to see, this indicates that you need to replace brake lines, another reason to save money. 4.Take the car for a test drive, and listen for the transmission to make grinding noises, and watch for it to pop out of gear, popping out of gear indicates scynchros are going out, and you'll need to rebuild the transmission, a whining sound is normal in most old corvette transmissions.
5.Step on the brakes and see if they pulsate, grab, or grind, all of these conditions indicate that the brakes need to be rebuilt.
6.As you go over bumps in the road listen for popping and cracking sounds to come for the front of the car, this will also happen during a sharp turn one way, or the other, and it indicates that you need to replace ball joints, another good reason to save money.

This should help you find just the car your looking for, and possibly save a little cash in the process, I hope it helps you in buying your used corvette, but most of all I hope you enjoy reading it. by David C. Atkin

A British Icon- The Mini

Ever since the first model of the Mini went into production in the late 1950's, the first ever space-saving, fuel sparing motor car captured the hearts of countless car lovers. The design, a result of rationed petrol due to problems with oil suppliers, meant that the car market was desperately in need of a car with a smaller engine, yet could be spacious as well. Queue the Mini. This car became a 1960's icon, and since then has been catapulted into being one of the most recognisable car designs of all time.

As mentioned, the Mini's design was based on the need that British cars needed to become more efficient- fuel was rationed and big cars simply weren't fitting the bill. The task of creating a car which would be fuel-efficient and would have enough room for passengers and luggage was challenged by three men, whose second-to-none design abilities and passion created a model which would change the car world forever. One of the main features of the car was its magical ability to create space out of such a small framework. The car only measures 10x4x4 feet, and amazingly, 80% of its space is for the use of its passengers and luggage. This was done by changing the suspension system, which created a lot more room and pushed the wheels further apart.

During the early sixties, the designer's of the Mini had a friend called John Cooper, who saw the opportunity to change the Mini into more of a performance car, and saw its potential to become a race car. The designer's were not initially interested in this idea, but were eventually persuaded. It was then when a new version of the original prototype was designed- The Mini Cooper. The Mini Cooper would then be (famously) a regular in the Monte Carlo Rally. The Mini was incredibly successful in these Rally's, and were placed 1st in 1964, 1965 and 1967. However, in 1966, Mini Coopers were placed in 1st, 2nd and 3rd position, much to the dismay of the French teams who wanted an all Citreon finish. Controversially, the Mini was disqualified for having seemingly different headlights which were illegal to the competition. This disqualification has arguably been said to be the reason for the cars popularity, and the reason why this car is now a cultural icon.

Throughout the sixties, seventies and eighties, the Mini continued to sell incredibly well, but towards the end of the eighties suffered because of the introduction of other small cars, such as the Metro. Mini eventually stopped its production, and it wasn't until 1994 that BMW took over the Mini Empire. The Mini was then fitted with an airbag, to comply with European legislation. During the coming years, the Mini had a re-vamp. Four new versions of the car were produced, and along with the new models came a re-vamped name- the MINI. British roads and motorways saw a surge of new MINI's, as well as the older models re-emerging. The Mini craze came back with a vengeance, and supported the Mini's place as a true British icon.

The popularity of the Mini has seen many Mini enthusiast sites and Mini fan clubs emerge. Fan's of the Mini unite all over the world to share their passion for the first miniature car, which proves just how much this car has changed the face of the British motor world. by R Miller
